Cooky soups with The Cooky Puppy
This soup section, is going to be very important, to all of you.
I would like you, to follow cooky soups closely.
I have looked at seriously reducing your waste and therefore increasing the money, in your pockets, so now you can afford that holiday.
Also from a nutritional point of view, how do you think most flowers are formed? Yes from the stems, the very stems we all throw away.
We are always told about the benefits of eating all the vegetable nice bits, good stuff. But heccookery.com/cookypuppy.com is not like anything else.
I am going to show you the rest, the things you do not know. My website is aimed at all the real people out there and I am a peoples cooky chef, cooking food, you all want and need.
You may have also noticed, many of the soups are good for elderly people and babies, purees in particular. That will be covered on a nutrition part, of this site, soon to be set up. Also if you are ok with stock cubes, gluten free or people, on celiac diets can have soups thickened by themselves or cornflour. If you do decide to have a lot of soup i.e. 3 times a week, would be good.
Do not put too much salt in it, especially young,elderly, or people who have had a stroke or heart problem.
Learn to taste the vegetables and not the salt and pepper.
Also remember if you like bread, with your soup as I do, then do not butter it, as you are defeating the point of having a healthy soup. Go back to tasting the bread, proper bread and not ones with brand names. Seeded, granary is usually best, there are so many different breads out there, waiting for you to taste them with your soup. So get back to tasting the bread and not the grease on it with your tasty soup.

Carrot & Tomato Soup 4 Portions
Ingredients : 2 carrots,1 onion,2 vegetable stock cubes,salt and pepper,1 tin of tomatoes or half pound of overripe tomatoes,2 pints of water.
Method : Peel,wash and top and tail the carrots.Peel the onion and finely chop both.Put in the water in a pan with everything else and simmer for 1 hour.Keep an eye on the water and if it goes down top it back up to where it was.When cooked hand blend until there are no lumps.If there are any bits run the soup through a strainer with a ladle or large spoon.This soup should thicken itself and look like the picture.A good healthy virtually fat free soup.If you want a bit of colour add chopped parsley.

Ingredients :1 onion,2 vegetable stock cubes,half a small tin kidney beans,half a small tin of baked beans,2 heaped dessert spoons of tomato puree,salt and pepper,1 tin of finely chopped tomatoes,two pints of water,2 finger chillis,cornflour.
Method: Peel and finely chop the onion and two fresh chillis.Put in the water and simmer in a pan for 15 minutes.Add everything else and simmer a further 15 minutes.If it needs to be thickened mix a little cornflour with cold water and thicken by mixing in.Remember if it has reduced you will need to have added a little more water to bring it back to two pints for 4 people.This will be spicy,if you don,t like it too spicy try one less chilli or half a chilli.A great winter warmer

Ingredients - 1 onion,1 orange,1 mug of red lentils,3 vegetable stock cubes,2 pints of water,salt and pepper,cornflour.
method - peel and finely chop the onion,put in a pan with the water,finely peel the orange skin and chop and put in pan,add 3 crumbled stock cubes and salt and pepper and squeezed orange.Put in the lentils.Boil for a few minutes and then simmer for half an hour.Stir every 5 minutes.Add 1-2 spoons of cornflour dissolved with an inch of cold water in a mug,Stir this with a spoon or fork and it will go watery.Add a little at a time until your soup goes as thick as you like it. Enjoy a good virtually fat free lentil healthy soup.Garnish maybe with a bit of chopped parsley and a nice piece of crusty cob.
Butternut squash soup 4 portions
Ingredients : 1 butternut squash,1 onion,2 vegetable stock cubes,salt and pepper,2 medium potatoes,ground mix spice,2 pints of water.
Method : Peel the squash,top and tail.Cut in half lengthways,then half again, to get 4 quarters.Remove the seeds,then finely chop,peel and finely chop the onion,peel wash and finely chop the potatoes.Put all of the ingredients in a pan with the water and simmer for half an hour.When it is cooked blend it with a hand blender.Check the stock cubes if you are gluten free otherwise great.

Ingredients: 2 onions,3 vegetable stock cubes,salt and pepper, 1 heaped dessert spoon of cornflour,2 pints of water,gravy browning.
Method : Peel and finely chop the onions.Put in a pan with the water and all of the other ingredients.Stir, then simmer for half an hour.Mix the cornflour with a little water and simmer a further 5 minutes.Be careful when adding gravy browning that you only add a small amount to give it a gravy colour.

Ingredients : 2 dessert spoons of tomato puree,2 pints of water,2 dessert spoons of vinegar,2 chillis,1 red pepper,3 vegetable stock cubes,2 dessert spoons of cornflour.2 cloves of garlic,sprinkle of 5 spice.2 dessert spoons of sugar.
Method : Put the two pints of water in the pan and add the finely chopped pepper and garlic.Then add all the other ingredients except the cornflour.Simmer for half an hour.Mix the cornflour in a cup with cold water until dissolved.Then add to the soup,bring to the boil and then you are ready to serve.

Ingredients : 2 apples,2 vegetable stock cubes,2 pints of water,1 dessert spoon of tomato puree,salt and pepper pinch,1 small pumpkin,1 dessert spoon of cornflour.1 onion.
Method : Cut the pumpkin into wedges like melon.Take out the seeds and take the skin off just like a melon and chop into small pieces.Peel,core and chop the apple.Put all the ingredients in a pan with the water and simmer for half an hour.Then add dissolved cornflour in cold water.Blend an serve

Ingredients : 1 onion,1 teaspoon of gravy browning,salt and pepper,a handful of minced beef,2 beef stock cubes,2 pints of water,Cornflour

Ingredients : 1 hand full of cooked chopped chicken or raw.1 small tin of sweetcorn,2 eggs,2 dessert spoons of cornflour,1 large onion,salt,pepper,3 chicken stock cubes,1 handful of grated coconut or dessicated.A small handful of chopped coriander,1 and a half fresh red chillis.2 pints of water,2 chopped bananas
