Different Cobalt Blue Bottles
Here with the ribbed cobalt blue bottle there are two other types that will also have contained a poisonous substance.
A wide variety of cobalt blue bottles
Most of these bottles were dug out of holes you can see but many have been dug from excavation sites.I love the colour of these. Also how each is so individual.
A Large Blood Mixture Bottle,Cobalt Blue
This is a large cobalt blue bottle with writing on the side saying clarkes world famed blood mixture. This was made in lincoln in England. It stands about 12 inches high.I dug this bottle up from about 7 ft down in the ground. When i exposed the lip i thought oh no another broken one,But to my amazement it was intact and in good condition.Still a dangerous liquid in a nice cobalt blue bottle. These look great with the light behind them.
Cobalt Blue poison bottle
I have been digging for over 15 years and bottles like this still facinate me.This bottle was around in 1890 - 1920.More information will be given on how cobalt blue bottles were made later. These types of bottles were ribbed and had not to be taken on the sides. This was because it contained poison. The colour, feeling and writing on the bottle were all warnings that it contained something dangerous.
